Ingredients
2 very ripe bananas
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
3/4 cup confectioner's sugar
3 1/2 tsp water
1 T unsweetened cocoa powder
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 13 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan with foil. Coat foil with shortening or non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, beat bananas and butter. Beat in sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in vailla, flour, salt, baking powder, walnuts, and chocolate chips. Spread in pan.
Bake in 350 degree F oven until top is dry to the touch, about 40 minutes. Cool in panon wire rack for 15 minutes. Remove bar from pan and transfer to rack; let cool.
In small bowl, stir 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar and 2 tsp water until smooth. Transfer to small plastic bag.
In second bowl, stir 1/4 cup sugar, 1 1/2 tsp water and cocoa powder together until smooth. Transfer to another plastic bag.
Snip one corner from each bag; drizzle both over top. Cut in 24 bars.
Servings: Makes 24 bars.
